The Giant of Ballymoghan

A darkly comic tale about friendship, morality, and what it means to be human, set in 18th century Ireland. Inspired by an amazing true story.

Wily Irish showman Joe Veitch buys a young Giant, convinced that exhibiting him at the world-famous Puck Fair will bring him fame and fortune. But Dr. Willamina Bounty, a brilliant and obsessive scientist, is in hot pursuit, determined to acquire the Giant’s bones for her private collection.

As Joe and the Giant on the road through old Ireland, they encounter curious characters—some helpful, some dangerous. The Giant learns to embrace his identity, while Joe discovers his capacity for compassion. In saving each other, they form a deep, transformative bond.

The Giant of Ballymoghan combines thrilling adventure, black comedy, and emotionally resonant storytelling into a unique, visually rich world. Darkly humorous, character-driven, and morally complex.
